The Wine To the eye, you will find the colour is an intense cherry pink. This is achieved by allowing the juice from the Sangiovese grapes to remain on the skins for only hours, unlike creating a red wine where the juice is left on the skins for days. On the nose, the aroma is a gentle expression of red grapes. Gentle and fresh with cherry, raspberry and strawberry fruits. Crisp with a light to medium body, not as full as a red wine however superior to most white wines. The taste is slightly sweet and reflects the fruit found on the nose, together with crispness, structure and good balance. The finish is extremely pleasing and fresh. Rosé wines offer their best qualities during their youth so it is recommended not to age for long periods of time before enjoying. A little taste of Italy |

Cherry Chocolate Port This full-flavoured Port style dessert wine has an exciting, complex aroma of dark chocolate mingled with notes of black cherry, ripe plum and toasted oak. On the palate, the taste is rich, sweet and lingering, leading to a long, satisfying and warm finish. The distinctive black cherry and dark chocolate adds a glorious dimension to the character of the Port. This wine is amazingly good after a few months in the bottle and will continue to improve for years. We recommend you bottle this superb dessert wine in 375 ml. bottles – a little goes a long way. Alcohol by Volume: 16% Available by pre-order only until September 18th, 2009. Food matches: Because of the richness and complexity, our Cherry Chocolate Port can make a bold impression when paired well with foods. Traditionally served at the end of a meal or with dessert, Cherry Chocolate Port is magical when matched with fruit desserts such as cherry tart, pear tart, pineapple flambé, crème brulée, flan and tiramisu. It can be also enjoyed simply with dark chocolate pieces and roasted walnuts or fresh fruit like sliced apples, raspberries, strawberries and plums. |
